Take Shadran's Eye from a straight-on POV onto the center of an aged book, with dark wrinkles stretching out from it. The book itself is slightly opened showing cleanly ordered teeth of menacing sharpness.

My thought was one big piercing eye like shadran's, with wrinkles stretching towards the edges. The teeth would be layered all the way back, in so much as the book does not have pages, it has sharp little teeth everywhere inside instead.
The two eyes work well though.
Perhaps you could combine the two and have on central large eye, with seven eyes arranged about it either in random, geometrical, or concentric patterns?

In fact, just leave it at the eyes with the orange and white and black, makes them stand out more what with how piercing Shadran eyes are.
