Actually, the only direct danger to one's life from being bitten by a dreamworm of that size would be if it caused enough physical trauma for one to bleed to death.
Dreamworms do not inject venom by biting, rather their entire body is poisonous. While a bite will usually result in a poisoning, this is simply due to their saliva containing fairly concentrated amounts of the same poison that suffuses their flesh. This poison does not actually have life threatening effects unless one extremes a very, VERY large dose - its effects are primarily hallucinogenic and soporific in nature. The creatures are referred to as dreamworms for a reason.
Now, perhaps if the specimen in question were a healthy adult there could be some danger. Primarily because the bite from even a small adult would likely be fatal on its own.
Of course, this discounts that a Dreamworm is highly likely to simply devour someone who has succumbed to its toxins. Given the apparent ... situation here; that appears not to be an issue.
