Wow, we need to start tempting fate more often. This is an extraordinarily rare opportunity, so we could stay and master soul magic later. I dunno. As long as you have the watch (or more importantly, as long as the king DOESN'T have the watch) this seems like an ideal place to hide. Halfway across the continent, with no path to trace? Artemis grimaces and slowly lowers himself into the water.

"Good? It heats up your body, lets your heart make a faster song. It helps you focus. This pool is filled with a special mineral that helps people calm down and aware of tiny things. I train here often."

Two red 'flames' appear on her outstretched arms.

"This is lesson one, making the Flame of Life. It is the fuel for your magic. Very limited though. Using it to much will kill. You must make this flame before I can teach you more."

Artemis tries to make the flames appear. His hands feel warm again but nothing happens.

They were so sad they pushed all their life energy into the earth and turned into stone and sand. I woke up and they were all gone. All gone... It is just me now. I am the only oli left. I plan on dying someday. There will be no more Oli."

She begins untying her mask.

"Oraes gave all of us these. Man would attack us when they saw our faces. The mask hides it. We look just like man and could trade with them."

She takes it off.
